Gotham West Studios Announces Podcast Residency Program for Aspiring Creators

Brooklyn, NY – March 6, 2025 – Gotham West Studios, an independent media company producing a diverse roster of original and branded podcasts, is launching the Gotham West Studios Podcast Residency Program, an initiative designed to support aspiring podcasters looking to take their first steps into the industry.

The free, eight-week program is built for those who are passionate about podcasting but may not know where to begin. Participants will gain hands-on experience in audio production, storytelling, and audience engagement, with access to Gotham West Studios’ professional recording facilities in Brooklyn. The residency includes weekly workshops, open office hours, and an ongoing Slack community where residents can ask questions and collaborate in real time.

“We believe podcasting should be accessible to anyone with a great idea and a story to tell,” said Tommy West, Creative Director of Gotham West Studios. “Collaboration is really important to everything we do, and our goal with this program is to open our doors to those interested in podcasting and help support them by providing tools and insights into how to make a great and engaging podcast.”

The first residency cohort will include six participants, selected from a pool of applicants ranging from those with fully formed podcast ideas to those who simply know they want to create but aren’t sure where to start. There are no formal application requirements and no cost to participate. Gotham West Studios will review applications on a rolling basis and select participants based on enthusiasm, creativity, and potential.
